Good luck hope to be reading it soon in the pages of North American Fishing Club
I was just thinking the other day that we don't hear from a lot of the guys that were there that night. CEB is too busy for us any more playing doctor or something like that, Gooch had to get a real job, etc. Hopefully I will see some guys again in that fishing hole this Fall. I still have the next few weekends full, but, I just might have to go spend a night in my boat there...of course when it gets a little colder!!

I would love to read your article, just to see how much fun I had there.

Just PM me your email and I'll send it to you. Tight lines.
Hey DP, you're right about the "something like that" part:D ...I'm on gyn-oncology right now and I need some practice...any volunteers???
And Dave, I stand behind you 100%. Your article was very well written and I anticipate hearing good news about it soon. I can't wait to have another get-together...I know that Gooch and I don't really have the time right now...but we really want these get-togethers to continue...:(
I am not sure what that is. It sounds like one of them female things. But, I will be glad when you become a real doc. I will feel more at ease bending over in front of some body I know. :DQuote:

By the way, check out my last post on the NCAA thread. It's a really funny story.
Flyfinger sure hope to see you in print and a Conway stalk real soon!
Hopefully this thread will get someone fired up about organizing another fish n eat. I still have 45.00 from passing the hat at the first gathering (good idea Titleman) so I can spring for brats, burgers and all that goes with if someone wants to get the ball rolling on a stalk. I just cant spend the time to get one organized at this time, though I really want to keep having em.
Dr Pepper not so sure about the "Real Job" title. Awesome, wonderful, great, or job of a lifetime would be more accurate. To be honest I have been so happy the first 3 weeks of my new job that I have yet to miss hunting or fishing not one bit. To be honest its probably the first time in my life to say that. I think once I get settled in it may ultimately improve my time in the oudoors and quality time with the family.
I'm too far away to organize a nightstalk, but maybe Dr Pepper can step in? How bout it Doc? Any weekend this month is good for me except 24th, and perhaps I'd even blow off the Hickory Creek event to go to Conway. Yeah, I'd do that in a heartbeat. Can I ride with you again Bobberwatcher?
too early for nightstalk, yea i check them weekly, rather like there hitting but slow.they are running alittle behind.a few weeks will fmake a difference.Ill be on it and let you all know night and day.dano
I lost this thread somewhere and have missed the last few post. Dan is right about timing Gold Creek. But, it should not be too long. The first half of December is out for me; I am getting famous and have a few parties to peform for:cool: I was wondering what everyone thought about New Years weekend. I don't booze it any more so a get together fishing trip would make it more like celabrating. Between now and the end of the year, we will probably have to hire a traffic cop for all of our spider riggers in Wilamena Cove. I have counted over 40 boats in there at one time.Quote:

It won't be long now! Maybe we could get something together for the first couple of weekends in Dec. What do y'all think?
Keep us okies posted we'll try to make it. hope this time it aint 20 degrees.
Sounds good to me. Dave, you are more than welcome in my boat buddy. Only problem that I might see with it is that we will be the last in the fishing hole if we have to drag grubby around again in his short boat :D
Count me in any weekend in December.
I remember. It's kind of like the guys that went golfing. When one guy got home his wife asked how was the golfing. Terrible, her husband said, on the first tee, Fred had a heart attack. Then all day long it was hit the ball, drag Fred, hit the ball, drag Fred. :D LOL I'm up for any weekend in December. Thanks for the offer of a seat in your boat Bobberwatcher.Quote:

After putting 24 volts on that starter, if you didn't need one before, you need one now.. HAHA! (I do have to admit, 24volts to a starter makes a really cool noise!)
It was the only way it would spin that day lol.
Good lord guys...why do y'all have to knock on grubby so much? Who knew that one little incident could label you as the short-boat driver? Haha...

And look...even ol' dano made the pic...:D
It gets better mileage that way too LOL!
Fellers I'm going to have to jump in here and defend Grubby. He may very well be the finest boat ramp mechanic in North America. He is the only dude I have ever heard of that carries a motor lift and 4000.00 worth of tools with him every time he hits the lake. Heck the guy fixed my tilt trim with nothing more than a screw driver and a ciggarette for a light.
You guys send me a PM or email if you decide to get up a Conway gathering. I still have some money from the first one I can buy food with.
