1 3/4 pounds and that day we had 42 with them smallest being 3/4 pound and the biggest I already said.
I don't have any measurements and I only caught a dozen or so of these fish myself, but I definitely have seen some prolific fish come from the federal grounds up in Shawnee, IL. My grandfather retired from working the Vienna correctioanal facility up there, and he has a pass to get us out there. But holy cow, in the spring/summer there are these huge rock bluffs that overhang right into the waters edge, and hiding directly under the edge of the water is a huge hollow under you. You can just dip a cane pole in there with no bobber at all and pull out monster blue gill like clockwork. I see my grandpa quite often because I drive back down to that part of country once a month for drill, I may hit him up and see if he'll take me down there and I'll get some pics :D.
1 pound 15 ounces have done it three times and can not seem to get a 2 pounder. Biggest this year was 1 pound 13 ounces out of Lake Aimonia!
My biggest was close to 10".Haven't caught one like it in awhile.Caught a 9" Pumpkinseed last week.Don't see many that size, they are mostly smaller.I love the colors on them.I think they bite and fight harder.
never measured em or wieghed em but the biggest bluegill I ever caught were in Lake Trafford in Immokalee Fl. Big coppernose bluegill. To big to get your hand aroud em. Big big bluegill. Big. These bluegill were big. Supersized.

Probably the size of a 2 year old Crappie. It was a Bullgill. The year was 1963. I was 30 years old and threw it back to make more babies. I was in Wichita Kansas. Now I wish I had mounted that rascal.
My biggest gill was back when I was 18 years old and it was 1 lb. 7 oz. caught on a hellgramite down in VA's Briery Creek.
But here is one I caught a week ago, up here in NY.
