The 2006 model has more detail than the 2007 one does. I got one of the 2007 chips earlier this year and went back to the 2006 model. At $69.00 you can not go wrong with getting one of these.

Bought 2 today 2006 hot maps advertised 8000 lakes coverage & 2007 claims 10,000 lakes but of course they added Canada been theredone that don't need anymore. Anywho when I compared Wis. & Ill. lists didn't really find many more different lakes so bought the 2006 for $59.00.(2007 on sale for $109.00) Told cabelas folks up here geting ten dollar gift certificates to new store opening 9/19 in Hoffman estates north sub of Chicago but they wouldn't give me one after spending $109.00 Kinda cheap of them me thinks.........:mad:
