Seen a couple others similar to that one. One with Shad in the cooler and another one with White Perch ... both referred to as Crappie. :Rofl
Hey, they all fry up good.... except for mud shad - bleargh!
The ones out of Richland Chambers and Lake Palestine are edible, but the ones out of the river are nasty!

Ate a ton of those growing up. Fun to catch, used to fish the jumps in July-August with big roostertails. If you’re fish-hungry, hot out the grease, some ketchup-

Yeah, JW ..... I've eaten a ton of them, myself, over the years. And I don't ever remember cleaning them or having them cleaned with the red meat removed. We didn't "fillet" anything back then. :RoflQuote:
