Nice!
Gotta do what you gotta do!
How thick was the ice? And where were you at?
I’ve was about 5” thick and I’m 40 miles west of St. Louis
Nice little mess of fish, worth the effort of chopping through the ice to get them. You chose the right spot to chop and were rewarded. Gills look really fat and healthy.

Pulled a double through the ice this morning!
Can’t figure out how to rotate picture.
Where the is a will, there is a way!
only way I would fish through the Ice. good job, congrats
It doesn’t get cold enough down here for me to try that on a dock. If it does, Jackson, MS water department starts dynamiting The Rez because the water pressure gets too low, from what I recall when I was a kid in the 80’s. I don’t think it has gotten quite that bad since then, although we have had a few winter storms over the years.
Them taken from cold water sure are good. Congrats!
I ice fished once in February but caught limit trout.
