I just used windex glass cleaner on mine and it didn't hurt anything. My wife bought some electronic wipes from Walmart for cleaning LCD and Plasma TV's the other day. I'm probably gonna swipe them and keep em in the boat.

Thanks Buzz, think I will pick up some wipes as well just to keep in the boat.
Any of the wipes that are alcohol based would be good. the moisture evaporates quickly in the alcohol type.
Cane Pole, Skip, or one of the guys just posted something in the last week (or 2) that I was going to remeber to get. It was something like "Wipe and Clean" or somthing like that you can get at Walmart in the electronics section. I can't remember the thread..........maybe they'll chime in in a bit.
I use a mixture of vinager and water, it works and its cheap!
Lowrance told me to use Mothers car 'POLISH' to clean off water spots. It really does work good.
The folks that make our lenses for us recommend using a product called "Sparkle". According to thier web site it is available in several retail stores. I would not use windex as some formulations have ammonia in them.

stay away from anything with ammonia or alcohol it will damage your screen. Some will actually crack the edges of the screen.
I have been trying the new Windex with Vinegar base with very good results.

Norazza cleaning wipes. No alcohol. Made for cleaning pda screens, laptop screens,tv's etc. Get it at Wal Mart.
Crap !!! I've been using 60 grit sandpaper and 190 proof alcohol...Maybe my depth finders not broken, the screens just scratched ! LOL
Lowrance gives you one of those microfriber cloths for cleaning the screen. Book says if its real bad to use plain water or glass cleaner. I'm like everyone else tho, I'd not want to use ammonia based cleaner.

These cloths work good and you can order them from Lowerance. I used them after I clean with the Wally wipe. My Tablet PC screen look new. It ain't melted yet. PC costs lot more than the fishfinder. It is a touch screen.
Why are these cloths so hard to keep up with?
If these wipes were a bad product from Wal Mart. Somebody would have already sued Wally. ha
I use Pledge on mine, cleans and that is what i use on my Motor Cycle screens.
Hi, I tried using Zeiss Lens cloth(little wipes) they have no ammonia but are alcohol based and left lots of streaks. Thought I would take canepoles advice - went to Wally world looking for Norazza wipe in Electronics-NO GOT never heard of (well IL what do U expect) Manager of dept says use what I use "Nice'Clean Electronic Cleaning Wipes" in Blue box. Safe for all monitors, screens etc. or only a vinegar based window cleaners.
The sparkle was hard to find, besides the web site or ordering through ACE hardware. So, Iwent to Office Depot and found an alcohol/ammonia free lcd screen cleaning kit for $12.99 called clean DR. It works great you just dampen the towel and wipe the water spots away. I also cleaned the computer screen and tv screen.
