In between cold fronts.
Nice day 40s with little to no wind. So hooked onto boat around noon and headed to Pomme. Glad I had waterproof hikers on as boat ramp now low enough that you need a few inches of rubber to keep your feet dry when at ramp. If fishing by yourself. Thought it was going to be a short trip first 3 casts 3 fish. Then the dinks got fired up. I am not sure how many little ones I caught but it was one of the days when I wish one of my younger grandkids was with me they would have had a blast. Then it got hard to find over 9 inch fish. Ended up keeping 14 just overs my wife would say the good ones she prefers potato chip fillets on the fryer. Boy it cooled down fast when the next front came in while I was taking boat out.Attachment 512054

There's a few dandies in there too, Richard. Glad you hit the sweet spot in the weather and didn't take a spill at the ramp!
Good thump therapy!

Looks like a great day to me. especially with all the dinks biting, it's still ketchn and that's a good thing. Then you wade thru them and have a nice bunch for you and the wife. I have several friends who want me to keep 8 to 9.5 as that's what they prefer. Beats the tar out of seeing bunch of crappie down there and them not being in the mood. WTG

Nice mess of eaters. I'll take a mess of those any day and I'll be smiling all day. Been colder here even though we live in the same state. 14 here right now with 37 for the high. Smaller shallow lakes are frozen. Hope it's not going to be a long, cold winter.
