Tool for inserting skirt into jig body?

I'd like to try to give some plastisol or elastomer jigs "legs". I've seen where people insert some skirt material through the jig body for this. Any recommendations for the best tool to use, best skirt material, and where to get them?

Also, any concerns doing this with the zman baits?

This is my little experiment with putting "legs" on some plastic grubs. I bought a pack of embroidery needles and used some grubs I had to put "rubber band" legs into them, and also cut the fiber tails off some old tube jigs and pulled them thru the sides of the grubs to imitate "wings".

Thanks! I've read the other threads and have thought about using a large sewing needle with the eye opened a bit or something. On some fly tying websites, it shows a thin needle like thing that has an area that apparently springs open where you can insert the skirt strand or whatever and pull in back through. I don't know what thst is called or if it would work. My eyesight isn't the best.

I should make years ago how to make jelly jigs and he made this diagram up. It’s posted above on this.
I believe I use different sizes of leather needles. You can buy them at Walmart or indie craft store..

Probably where I got the package of embroidery needles and the jig bodies I used in my experiment. I looked in my junk box for the jigs with the fibre tails that I used to make the "wings". I found them, but they were not in their mfg packaging, so I have no idea what brand they are (or even if they're still being sold, since it was many years ago that I purchased them ... and I probably had them for years before I used them in the experiment).

You might check out your hardware stores sometimes they have the needles for sewing seed sacks, but I think those days are long gone, but there is a possibility that they may have the needles for showing leather. also on Amazon I just looked on there and they have them in the bigger sizes all kinds of them and pretty cheap like four dollars for I believe 10 Needles.

Bought some needles; but just found the following too.
