I’m trying to get my boat setup. 2012 Lowe stinger 175 and can’t decide the best place to mount the seelite pole I’ve got. I wanted to be able for 2 to fish on the front with the eagle eye 9. Just looking for suggestions. Looking like I’ll have to mount it on the side Maybe overthinking it but I like council from experienced people before I start drilling holes in the boat.
Since I am right-handed, my Seelite is on the starboard side so I can manipulate the pole better. Make sure you have all the clearances you want BEFORE you screw it in. Also, careful when pulling up to a dock if your pole hangs over the side much. Ask me how I know about that!
The homemade pole that I had for my 360 and LVS32 was off the side on the starboard side right behind my Millennium rod holder on that side. I currently have mine on my trolling motor and haven't decided if I want to move it back to the old location, motorized pole on the trolling motor, or leave it as is and get another one for a manual pole (running two and switch as needed). There are pros and cons of trolling motor vs manual pole methods, although the manual method was simply because I had a Terrova back then.
I had my manual pole on the starboard side, mainly because my trolling motor is on the port side.

I’m right handed so I want to have my pole on the port side. I have my fishing rod in my right hand and control the Livescope pole with my left hand.
depends on what type waters you intend to fish . I found that in open water(which is best for ffs ) it really did not matter "but "in trees , stumps , trees ect . the transducer was better on the trolling motor . hard to dodge trees with two things . (trolling motor and ffs transducer ). sold my seelite system as I did not want to cruse open water and run down fish . Attachment 503743
We run down open water fish with transducer on trolling motor.

One of my buddies has this very set up. One transducer on the TM and the other on a TM mounted turret. An added benefit is if he's fishing beds without spot locking, he can view the TM mounted transducer on one unit and his fishing partner can operate the turret and view the transducer on it on the other unit.
