Do any of you have trailer steps that you recommend? I want to be able step out the boat to winch it on. Getting too old for those gymnastic moves needed.

I feel your pain. I know the day is coming for me to look into these so I’m paying attention.
I bought a cheap one from eBay that is 3 steps and has a hand rail, and there is a little flex to it, even with my slender body. If you are over 165 lbs, you will want to buy one of the good ones, such as an EFX or Trick Step. Regardless, I can still live with my purchase.
I'm 64 and still in good health and my balance is fine, but I know it's not going to last forever. To get ahead of it, last summer I built a set of steps for my trailer. Wish I'd done it years ago, it makes a huge difference.

I own a set from BoatEFX. They are Ohio based and make a great product(s). I am completely satisfied with mine.

Currently using trick step. Have had them for a few years now. Also like the looks of the boatefx step. Both of these units are expensive but if it elimanetes falling worth every dollar in my opinion. Seen a lot of nice homemade steps made if you can do that kind of work
I chose the EFX and am very happy with them.
Love my EFX! Expensive but well worth it to be safe in and out.
I just installed a Trickstep 2 weeks ago. Couldn't be happier.
I know this picture is on here somewhere. I have the easy step system. Best boat buy I have made in years. I have lost several pounds since purchasing. I was 300+ when I bought them and they were solid as a rock. Made going by myself so much easier. Attachment 502505

Lot of good options out there, I went with EZ Step, I'm a big guy needed something solid. Whatever your choice buy a step system for safety period, don't let cost rule your decision.
:popcorn
I’ve had the EZ Step three step model for eight years and it’s been rock solid.
I bought a set of "universal boat trailer steps" off of ebay last year for $139.00. They have a hand rail too. They're powder coated & work great for a fraction of the price of others.
"D" yes it has 2 options for handles.
Thanks everyone for helping me find what I needed. I just ordered the BoatEFX. What really helped to choose them is that they listed my exact boat for exact fit.
Holy cannolli :yikes I ordered Wednesday at 10 pm. They just informed it has been made and shipped. I can't buy groceries at Walmart that fast! :fingerdance
Just installed it today. I feel like it's just what I needed.Attachment 502783

Please remove the cover before you try to step in. :biggrin Don’t want you to get hurt.
Finally found my ladder and grab handle photo.

Love the steps. How about that Livescope pole storage rig? Would you share that with us too? Interested.
Sure it’s a da ducer apparatus from Podunk Ideas da ducer apparatus(R) - Podunk (po dungk) A small isolated town, region, or place that is regarded as unimportant. . . .. It’s designed by Rickie (member rnvinc on here).
I think this picture has convinced me to order one like yours.
I bought a 20’ Xpress crappie boat recently and I’ll be 67 YO in June. I expect this will be my last boat so I’m rigging it like I want it.
Im not getting any younger and I have one artificial knee so I think more about safety than I used to.
I think that a lot of injuries occur from not using the right tools and misusing/abusing the body. If within your price range, the right tools, such as trailer steps, can help prevent injuries or delay the need for join replacement.
I have a set of the Omega boat trailer steps on mine. Carries over 300# without any problem. Only thing is the way my trailer is made I can't get it quite as close to the front of the boat as I would like. The step from the top step to the boat or back is a little longer than I would like. I think they were purchased off of eBay for like $350.
I have a question. Why are all the steps always installed on the passenger side of the trailer? Does it make a difference? I would think that for me I would want them on the driver side of the trailer so I wouldn't have to cross over the trailer or walk around the front of truck when using the steps. Im in my mid 40s now and Im already starting to think about these things. I'm not as agile and balanced as I use to be.
If they all have 3 steps on them, why isn't the 2nd step put on the opposite side? Just thinking out loud, lol. To my thinking, it would make it safer to go up.
It would make for better balance, for the person using them. I worked 30 years, for Werner Ladders, so guess it makes me see the safety aspect, of using them.
My steps have a support brace on 2nd step or else I guess it could be turned to inside. I see your point, but any steps are better than none!

My brother calls them stripper poles. Family friendly site; hope it's not too crude.

Snubby, how wide are those steps? They look wider, than the other ones. That would be better for a person's balance.
I tell ya what, I'm "only" 39 and thinking about adding these too. Just a lot easier/safer getting up and down. Hope you enjoy them, good luck this year in the new boat!
I have trick step really like it
