My dog fell out of the boat, landed on her back with feet up in the air and instantly sunk 2 feet down ... she is a small Jack Russell Terror ...... anyway, I love my dog, and jumped to save her and broke my favorite G-Loomis rod!!!!
My doggie game up and I didn't have to dive in after her and caught a ton of fish, so it was not all that bad .... I sure liked that rod!
Some days are like that but the main thing you showed is what mattered most to you!!!!
I would give up fishing to save one of my dogs.

I'd jump in for mine. She's tripled in size in 6 months and still thinks she is a lap-dog. But, she's family. You showed you're the person you're dog thinks you are. Glad you had a good day. Sorry about the rod. Attachment 502148Attachment 502149

a good rod is replaceable , a good dog not so much .....just saying :highfive
Time to get a life vest for the pooch. Rods can be replaced, family friends cannot.

Sorry to hear about the rod. I went over the side for one of mine and lost my shades and phone but came up with the rod. All good! My fur children mean a lot to me. I’d go to extremes for them. I can always find or build another rod.
