Forget the fish icon, that 28-degree temp is what I would look at! :Rofl
Call me soft if you want, but at 28 degrees I'm also out.:kewl
A lot of people would be out in t shirts from up north, but I'm from the south, lowest Ive ever seen where Im at is -4 F
I've heard crappie's don't mind cold water as much as some fish, in fact they might kind of like it. And definitely better meat comes out if cold waters
Winter is my favorite time for crappie fishing. The crappie cluster and suspend over deep water. At least for myself, I tend to catch more larger crappie in the winter
Another wintertime crappie fisherman here. I usually start late fall and fish until mid March or when the terrorists start arriving, whichever comes first. To me, the meat from fish that come out of cold water have a different texture (that I prefer) than fish out of warm water.
Agreed! 28 degrees and I’m in a treestand near the house so in can warm up!
I’m with most of you guys. I’ll take a pass at 28 degrees.
Bob
Thanks, now I have something else to order!
