Came across these tubes with marabou, too big for crappies, wondering if anyone has seen something like this for panfish. I've become fond of the tube jig heads and I'm pretty certain the addition of feathers would be deadly. If anyone has made some of these that are smaller please lmk

Tie them like a jelly jig. Put the plastic on then push it up and tie on the tail material then push back down. Shouldn’t be too hard like you said.
Ok, I'll look into that. I guess I need a jig stand or holder, not sure what it's called. And some quality marabou
Or you could push a marabou jig up into a tube jig body.
(I'd lubricate the inside of the tube jig with a spurt of Slab Sauce & that'll make the insertion easier, plus add scent that'll last awhile after getting soaked up into the marabou jig's chenille)

The centered tube jigs will always have a different trajectory than ball heads. The tube jig heads will spiral on the fall, creating a bit of line twist that on the retrieve gives the jig a bit of
side to side waggle like a baitfish that induces strikes. The marabou would certainly add to the appeal

First let me say I know nothing about tying jigs. But I have used a lot of tube jigs. One way is to use the jig/hook that slips in the tube and the hook eye sticks through. You install them into the tube. Why not tie some mariboo on those, then slip the tube over it.

Thats exactly what I was thinking, just tie the feathers on the hookshank and slide the tube on, then dunk every 10 or so casts in a water soluble attracrant. I've been looking at trying the Powerbait Crappie attractant for the marabous
