I purchased an expensive Pfluger reel a couple of years ago it failed in 10 months of owning it and they replaced it. Less than a year after they have replaced it, it has failed again. Done with it, you guys got any suggestions for a really good smooth casting replacement. Thanks

My Daiwa Fugeo is still kicking like brand new almost 2 years in. It's been fished hard, but I also take the time to do the maintenance and she still is as smooth as ever.
You can also look at the amazon specials, there are a lot of members here that swear by them.
Shimano Sienna - Catana - Sahara - FX
Daiwa Revros - Laguna - QZ750 - QR750
Same issues with pflugers still usable but ruff as a cob!
Recently purchased a Daiwa Revros probably the smoothest and farthest casting reel that I’ve owned only had it out a couple trips so not sure how it will last but I’m very satisfied so far!
Any Daiwa reel in your budget would be good, but best bang for buck right now is new 2023 Legalis 2000S-P from Japan. It is equivalent or even better to new Daiwa Exceler Lt which sell at more expensive price. You can order from Amazon at cheaper price.
I also like Fugeo and have one in 2500 size for bass, this reel come with Magseal which add a little more inertia and harder to service. Just my 2 cents and I’m regular using Shimano Vanford, Daiwa ballistic FW and Daiwa Tatula MQ for crappie. I lost my Legalis not long after got it to a unexpected bigger fish.
Curious as to what "expensive Pfluger" you have that failed. I'm currently running the President line with no significant issues, sorry I can't offer up any options based on real world experience.
I dont want to hijack from the OP but i have two higher end Pflueger reels fail. One was a 2022 xt and the other was a 2023 xt. I do fish them hard.
Take a look at the Shimano Nasci. Best reel i have owned by far.

Fellows thank you all for your suggestions. As for the reel I had problems with the President 25 series gave after taxes $60.00. They were a pain to deal with on the first time it went down sent me a replacement that wasn’t new but a repaired one with sand still in it. Then after about a month dealing with them they sent me a new replacement. That’s the one that failed again. Never touched the water and babied it. This time the bail failed. I can fix it but I have much cheaper reels not near as smooth but definitely can take fishing abuse.

Probably a little biased but I love Shimano's!! I've got them from the 80's to the present,
I have real good service from the Daiwa line. They’re not budget friendly but I have 3 Presso’s and they’re super smooth with a very good drag. I use the bigger Shimano Sahara in the salt and they’re doing good also. My newest reel is a Vanford that’s noticeably lighter and doing great, it. Also a little bigger than we use for crappie. One of the above listed reels had an s on the end of the model. This stands for a shallow spool for real light braid. I have a few and it lightens the reel a good bit.
I bought four Daiwa Revros LT 2500's a couple years ago to use on casting rods and have been very pleased. They were $40 each.
I has issues with a Pflueger a long time ago that also were not resolved to my satisfaction. I swore off them for good. Made the switch to Shimanos & Daiwas in the 1980s and have never looked back. I'd rather put a little more in a reel and get one that will last & has quality customer service.
