I just changed carriers and phones. In the process the CDC app couldn't be transferred. And now it apparently isn't available here or on yhe Google Play Store. Any word on when/if it will be available again?

I usually use Tapatalk, although if I didn't also subscribe to other message boards that were also Tapatalk compatible, I see why a lot of people prefer to use the CdC app when not at a PC after using it a few times.
Yep, I can’t get them to fix the app for me on the play store. It’s working on apple but not for androids. On an android you’ll have to use Tapatalk. The crappie.com app is actually actually the same app as Tapatalk, just branded for crappie.com. And the idiots won’t fix it for me. Dang them.

Well I downloaded Tapatalk. I must be incredibly stupid. I can't seem to find how to use it for CdC. It has a very limited list of fishing forums andCdC is not even listed.
When you first launch tapatalk, it opens up, and it has "add more" , click that, type "crappie" and crappie.com fishing forums should pop right up. If you still don't see it, I can do some screen shots to show you. Who knows, maybe different versions are different. Lets see.Quote:

Well I managed to get to the screen you showed. My original problem was because at first startup you are forced to choose an initial group from a limited number of choices, none of which interested me. Then I got to the screen where I could add CdC. I didn't have to deal with that in the CdC branded version. But it seems to be doing what I want now.

Well I thought everything was going well. For some reason I can't download images. I gave the stupid app the necessary permissions. And the ads are totally obnoxious. Never had an app before so overrun with ads. Something gets in the way on every screen. The CdC app my have just been a rebranded Tapatalk but it never gave me any problem whatsoever and no ads to speak of. I downloaded images often without a hitch.

I do tapatalk and don't get any ads. I have the VIP version which cost $1 a month, but don't remember ads before that. Uploading images is easy as well.
Tapatalk will inject ads if you aren’t a subscriber, although I do subscribe and find it more convenient for CdC and a few other sites/message boards that are Tapatalk compatible than to also have CdC outside of Tapatalk. I don’t have issues with image downloads, although I am on iOS.

I just use the web browser on my devices.
Both uploading and downloading were easy in the CdC app. But in Tapatalk when I hit the download button nothing happens. I allowed the necessary permissions to the app but no luck. As far as the ad free version I refuse to pay a fee every month. If an app is a good one I will make a purchase of a premium version to avoid ads. But I won't pay a monthly subscription fee.
I will make another attempt at getting Tapapoop to fix the app for the android. This will be attempt number, I don't know. But hopefully, eventually, they fix it. we see
