Thanks for cleaning it up. But life is too short to worry about this little spot of water IMHO.
100% Agreed in all fairness this is how large that Lake is at Smith Lake. It's 21,000 Acres. :Rofl Attachment 484805 Thumb Ups to you ChaunC.. :ThumbsUp
Big place.
Things like that make people think ugly thoughts. I’ll be quiet, and y’all know that doesn’t happen often. I’m
No doubt those docks were extended to block off the end of that bay. Seems wrong, but honestly who cares? So much more in life to worry about than losing 0.25 acre of water out of 21,000. I really hope he didn't waste the time of a CO over that

I’ll try to be nice ! Hope it doesn’t get blowed out !
I honestly don’t think the point is that they are just blocking that pocket but it is that a lot of folks (not all ) think just because they own that lake lot that they can do as they please with the water that’s around it ! The water around those docks are public so I think they are over stepping their bounds! That is a big issue to me! :twocents
Around here if you can afford a lake lot, you can afford an attorney, a judge, and a CO!
without watching YouTube I gather some high end folks built docks long enough to keep us rif raf out of a certain spot , I been there before and to be sure the rif raf will find a way to look behind the curtain if there are fish behind the curtain .....just saying :Rofl
Possibly the rif raf made the video is what I'm thinking. I wouldn't allow my day of fishing to be disturb because of it. The lake is 21,000 acres. I would use the same logic I would if someone else was fishing the spot. I keep it moving.
The point of the question was if you think this is legal to do. How much of that dock is really needed? I had this happen to me on an area of Kentucky lake that I had been fishing for over 25 years. New people bought the property and blocked off one of my favorite spring spots. Was one great shell cracker area but I found other spots over the years but not like that one. Whatcha think?
@Chaunc I don't think it's right.nonono Period.:ThumbsUp However, as I've gotten older I try to pick my battles. Allowing the authorities to handle that if I chose to report it would be my way of fighting it if I had to. However, Crappie Brother I have too many other things to focus on vs being stressed on the water. I LOVE the Water, I LOVE my boats, I LOVE to Fish, I LOVE Catching them. I Don't Like allowing things to get me riled up when I'm in chill mode. That much dock isn't needed.:ThumbsUp Possibly that much house isn't needed.:scratchheadIf it's not endangering my safety on the water then I'm too happy to have a boat & to be on the lake to let it damping my joy. :woohoo Boat Dock Laws are different for different places. Before I got worked up I'd make sure I had that right. Here is info from Water Rights and Docks: Everything You Need To Know in certain instances a property owner "CAN" do such a thing. Remember you are there for free.rotfl They may have over a million in rights to be there. rotfl You asked me Crappie Brother. I'm just responding.:ThumbsUp Our feelings & the Laws of the land don't always agree. :cheers2
