It's really early for the redear to be up shallow. I caught this toad tonight in yellow mustard flowers here on Lake Barkley. It was 2lb2oz. What a special Easter Sunday!

Wooooo! That’s an awesome catch. Congrats!
She's been eatin' good in the Mustard Flower neighborhood !! :biggrin
That's one of the fattest redear I've seen. Lot's of fun on ultralight. How long was this fish?
Wow! That IS a dinner plate. Terrific catch and maybe a PB.
Bob
:yikes, that’s the biggest I have seen! Thanks for sharing
to say it is fat is for sure an understatement , just WOW , we never ever see them built that round in these parts , just wow again ...
congratulations and KABOOM
That's a monster, congrats!
Fat like cow! wowser
Wow, good one! Dang, that's a hammer right there. Beat me by a whole pound today!
The fish had a length of 12 3/8 inches, a girth of an eye popping 14 inches and a weight of 2.2lbs. I cleaned the fish tonight and it was a boss male shellcracker...not a hint of eggs. For this fish to achieve such girthy proportions, it speaks to the food sources of Lake Barkley.
Great catch, congrats!
Wow! Did somebody say.......................WALL HANGER!!!!!!:cheers2
That’s the biggest I’ve ever seen from public water in the east. Absolute monster for sure. Had to be a good fight, glad he didn’t pull free. Typigpatrol on YouTube gets some giants but he’s out west or in private managed ponds. Quite a fish for public waters. Makes me want to go on a road trip!
