Well... maybe your neck doesn't hurt from looking down at the screen. But does your neck hurt from those heavy VR goggles. I'm not too keen on guys running down the lake with those on their head either. ( no peripheral vision) Wonder if within the next year someone will come up with a control where the transducer will follow the movement of your head, sort of like the Garmin Force remote. Could be a scary technology, but intriguing. But where does tech cross a line? Also I would probably fall in.

If someone can follow a school of crappie around with LS and a long pole like I saw yesterday on my lake, then don't say nothing to the guy who hook's a crappie with a line and float and follows it around. Looks like that's the only way the poor man can compete in the future. To say one is right and the other is long, Maybe yesteryear but not now. To me they are the same thing now.

some folks will go full out on this silliness but majority of us won't. IF your a tournament guy you will have to have this to compete but for myself it is of no interest at all. I ketch plenty of fish to supply my family and lots o friends with nothing but a rod, bucket and lil tackle box in the car. Will get on a boat with a buddy but not very often as I am a bank/dock wanderer. I go fishing to get away from all the tv's, computers and folks. Like my quiet but if others around enjoy the company.
Plenty of crappie in the lakes/ponds/rivers. sure they might ketch more bigger ones but since many of us throw back the bigger ones anyway and keep the good eaters 9 to 12 what's the problem? If folks want to spend a ton of money on boats and electronics knock yourself out but we are talking about ketchn panfish for fun primarily. Heck many of us can barely operate a cell phone and I won't/can't operate the nice FF with SI/DI I have now. Too busy ketchn on the dock around my toon which is used for taking nice rides around our lake and talking to our friends.
