Mostly drop shot. Sniping with live scope. Some casting and retrieve under a cork
I like k9 white. 10lb for casting and 20lb for dipping. Stay away from anything under 8 strand. I find that you get less tip wraps with 8 strand braid.
K9 Braid hard to beat
I only cast and retrieve a 1/19 jig head so the type braid I use would not be suitable for how you’re fishing. But, Varivas makes some of the finest braid in the world. Check out their site as they have a broad selection that would fit how you fish.

I use power pro green 10lb with 6lb mono leader for spider rigging. I use mono for jigging. don't have live scope
Power Pro Slick 8 V2 in moonshine color for me. I like to 1lbs diameter 8lbs. It is hard to find. I use to 2/10 most often
I do a lot of drop shot fishing, jig fishing is secondary.
Diawa dark green 8x 8# test. The 2 main lakes I fish have a ton of catfish in them. I target bluegill, perch & crappie and always end up with several catfish.
10-15lb power pro hi-vis yellow braid.
15lb. diawa j braid x 4 hi-viz yellow with a 10lb. mono leader for me but i'm mostly fishing standing submerged trees & brush piles. If strictly open water i'd probably drop down to 10lb & use a long 8lb. mono leader. I'm talking clear water here. If i fished dirty water all of the time i'd never use a leader.
The braid I use in salt water is the best out of about 8 different ones I’ve tried, and it’s power pro super slick v2 in 10 lb moonshine. Bought some of the blue last time for a new reel from availability. Way tough and holds knots well. I also agree with Jack about the 8 lb, good stuff. I mostly throw Varivas very small braid on my ultralight stuff and I have lots of those. I’m not looking further but I’ll listen to what folks say.
I use Suffix 832 6lb on my crappie rods. Seems to cast well and the color stays for a while.
Berkley fireline 8#

Kastking super silky8 8lb hivis , Berkley Vanish 6lb leader or 6lb/4lb. Cast 1/32 a mile and skips under docks easy. 300yds for same price as most other brands at 150yds. The color does fade faster than power pro. I replace my line every month or more so it works for me
Ive tried a ton. Ive settled on spiderwire stealth for the bulk of my reels, and 832 for the ones i need extra casting distance.
Power pro wind knotted real bad. The kastking ones i tried were either rope or turned soft and weak quickly. Amazon cheapos were extremely weak. Fireline is just strange feeling and digs in the spool pretty bad. I do actually like the micro fireline 2-4lb for some micro light stuff, its not bad.

6 or 8 lb Sufix 832 with 6lb hybrid leader. This braid sink so not create such a big bowl at long cast, smaller diameter help cut through water as well as casting distance and can feel the subtle bite better. I also use Nanofill exclusively for both techniques but the line is discontinued and worst in wind. Next fill up spool I’ll be using 12lb ice Gliss line.
