At least you’re getting out .
It’s two weeks into the new year and I haven’t wet a line .
On the days it has been sunny and warm enough, it happens to be on days I’m obligated :) .
Even on those days the high is usually around fifty and it hits around four in the afternoon, thirty minutes later the sun starts dropping and so do the temps .
And I’m not even going to mention the wind :( .
Beats a skunk pal….:ThumbsUp
I feel your pain. Can’t get out here either. Tornados last Thursday….now temp is 9 degrees with feel like of -4 and not supposed to be above freezing next 7 days. I hurt just waking from parking lot into the grocery store[emoji23]

That bottom pic is a real pretty fish. And like the others, a few beats none anytime. On tough days if I can chase the skunk out of the boat I’m a happy man.
This EXTREMELY COLD Weather has us inside and off the bayou’s here in Southeastern Louisiana as well.
2 nights in the 20’s already and two more nights in the 20’s this weekend. The strong prevailing northerly’s have pushed the water levels at the launches so low if you do dare to try and launch you risk your trailer falling off the end on the cement ramp. Have seen that happen before. Only way to get trailer back onto the ramp is to lift it up somehow. Water temps around 50 F makes for a chilly trailer retreival dip in the bayou.
Good news no mosquitos or nats with this weather.
BON TEMPS!!
I’ve used a shallow ramp like that before .
I had to get in the water and physically lift the trailer up while my buddy eased my pickup up the ramp without running me over .
Luckily it was in the spring . Water was pretty cool but air temp was in the low 70’s .
I'm officially hating winter this year. I've changed line on rods that haven't been used in two or three years. I've rearranged tackle until I'm tired of that. The boat is as clean as it can be. I've locked up debit cards to keep from impulse buying anymore. I hate being a debbie-downer, but I'm ready for warmer weather.
I will not complain about the heat this year!
