All the places I fish in winter are high and chocolate milk. Love the creeks but when they blow out after a heavy rain, they become all but unfishable for a week or 10 days. Some of the smaller areas I sometimes fish will be crunchy after Tuesday night for a few days. Glad I got in a few good trips after Christmas. Looks like I'll be cooking Crappie out of the freezer for a few weeks!

Cowboy, I'd be on the water too, just not much choice between crunchy water or Chocolate Milk in a kayak, LOL!

Gotta be brown and c oon tracks all over the lake by now. My entire lake has risen over 4' in this past week. Besides, gonna be a bit cool here too.

Aint much better down south. Next 6 nights we freezing as low as 16. Thats colder than a witches t. I should know, was married to 1 for 7 years back in the 90's

No matter where you are, there you go. 430 am Tuesday morning 17 degrees and roads are solid ice. I meet two separate boats being hauled to the ramps down Hwy 20 while im headed to the hotel because i wont cross the river bridge in Decatur. I'm 72 in Horn Lake. MS. Did pretty good getting all the groceries Friday. Went back Sunday for bread, none of the shelves. Drove home in light snow. Haven't been outdoors since.

It was 5 and had a feels like temp of -5 yesterday morning. This morning it’s pouring snow and 21. Headed to a tree stand this afternoon.
