Sounds awful
Griffin seems on fire. I say that according to what I see. There are tons of boats out there, and I do see many catches. But I'm certainly not having very good luck. I catch about 4 a trip. But 4 a trip ain't terrible for the short time I'm out there. Water clarity is good, it's not pea soup! lol
What's killing the Crappie there?
Yesterdays catch, and the day before's catch.

Today we caught three, released them. No pic.
And to be clear, that's not all I caught! Those are the good'uns, the coupla unders got thrown back right aways.
Nice. Looks good to me.
Nice fish!
I'm curious to what's causing the fish kill. I have family down farther south for the winter. They have not been catching much.

All state says is oxygen depletion in water. Glad the other lakes are not having this.

Don't know why or what vould be fine to reverse it. Sure sad to see dead fish all over.

Griffin be treating you right!
Just left today back to Ky. We were all over Little Harris this week. Heard about the kill, but I only seen one dead crappie. Caught 17 Wednesday, then the bottom fell out and the fishing got slow. We managed 60 keepers, caught around 75 altogether.

Fished Beauclair on Tuesday. It’s usually the clearest lake in the chain but it was like pea soup from an algae bloom. Carlton wasn’t much better. We were bass fishing and didn’t catch a fish in either. Didn’t see any dead fish though.
I think it may be subsiding finally, didn't see any fresh dead fish this morning, less seagulls. Hopefully the wind the last few days helped aerate the water. Few guys in here been going to Griffin and getting limits in 2 hours dpiderrigging 10' in 14' water around Treasure island area.

Anything improved on Harris??
Sorry to hear about all this. Hoping it gets turned around for the better. I’ve been kinda busy with work for a while now. I’m thinking this weekend needs to be mine!

My buddy Bymo fished griffin yesterday but mostly it was shake down cruise after having TM and motor issues. Said he caught one gar. Fifteen boats around island one with LS. He spoke with him and said two days before it was loaded with fish and everyone was ketchn but today he didn't see but a few roaming around and no one was ketchn. He had 4 lines out rigging.
Heading down villages first of march for couple weeks. will get out on lake then.
