Bittersweet for a Dad
It is amazing how time flies… the older I get the more real that statement is. Seems just like yesterday of course, that we were told we were having a baby girl… and now, in just a few hours I will be walking that baby girl down the aisle. I am blessed beyond measure to have two amazing children… but it is different with a daughter. No young man is ever truly good enough in a dad’s eyes… but I will have to say I don’t think she could have picked one much better than him. I pray that the Lord will bless them, as he has her mother and I, as they start their journey together.

Congrats Dad!
I know one thing, if I have to give a speech following my daughters wedding at the reception I will have to tape it! There's no way I'll get thru it without bawling like a Little Baby!

Congrats! We all felt the way you do about our son in-laws. But I now think of mine as another one of my kids. Good luck to the bride and groom.

my son in law is one of those people that you would never give a second thought about letting your daughter marry .
When he said hey , can I come by and ask you about something and then asked if could he marry her ......
I simply said this about that , if she will have you its a yes .....:Rofl
knowing my daughter and her ability to see thru what is not real and then again to recognize what is real , I was at peace knowing she would make the right decision.
this guy makes the right choices at the right time and works 7 days a week and comes from the old school of respect your elders and yes sir and no sir and the rest of what a real man should be in my opinion .
nothing bittersweet about it on my end and he has exceeded my expectations on numerous levels , he is the wish I had my own son just like him type of guy .
congratulations to all the family sir ......:highfive

Congrats Dad. I agree with you opening post noting the differences between how a father views sons and daughters. The love is the same but it’s just different. Prayers for the happy couple.
-
I wish them many comfortable years of happiness together. Mine are 38 and 40 and you’re right, there isn’t one good enough for your best little girl. You’ve done good Daddy!
