Mr Dux, from the Kentucky board, did the mount. I'm very pleased..the fish was 13 inches long and 2.2lbs.

Great looking mount
Beautiful!
Looks really good. Nice catch, congrats
Cool ! Nice Cracker !
Very nice mount! That’s something I’ve never done is mount a fish. My first deer head, done European style(bleached skull) is at the taxidermist now. We also have something in common. 13.25 is my PB cracker, and my daughters is 11.5. Both caught during the same 3 hour trip. What an afternoon it was! Great memories for you and me too.
Nice looking mount!
Glad to know there’s still a few like that out there somewhere in these lakes.
That is a beautiful piece of art.
Congrats!

Very nice
Nice mount! I like the knot hole, what you catch it on ? Bet that was a battle! I stocked 200 shellcracker in my pond 5 years ago and don't catch many but when I do it's on the bottom usually 1lbers but this year I started catching small
Ones ,hoping to mount a 2#er one day
I caught it on a nightcrawler using a slip bobber setup. I tie a leader on using a small swivel because I get bad line twist if I don't. The key in my setup when slip bobbering, is fishing without a bobber stopper. That allows the bait to settle on the bottom every time. Redear are always patrolling the bottom.
Wow! A 2.2 lb brim? Musta been a HUGH fight. Congrats and nice looking mount.:)
That is a big damn Shellcracker. I have caught some in the 1lb territory and that was a battle. I can't imagine one like that on the hook.
I have always used #8 cricket hooks harder to swallow just recently tried #8 octopus circle hooks they hook them selves usually and don't swallow the hook.I even catch smaller bream for bass fishing that way.
That's a nice one & a very nice looking mounting job Doug done too. :ThumbsUp
