Me and a buddy are making plans on coming from Alabama to fish one of the Big 3 this spring. We fish out of kayaks and were wondering which one would be best in a yak.

Grenada would be my choice !
Which ever you choose just be careful in those yaks ! Pay attention to the wind! And those critters that hang around in those trees !
I always thought the big G gets nasty in a hurry (and it does) but you ant see squat yet until it gets nasty over their !
rode one those pop up storms out couple years ago and learned a lesson real quick ! thank goodness for a good bilge pump!
lots of people stay at Cossar state park( on Enid) and fish which ever lake has best fishing due to wind . You would be on Enid and 30 minutes from Grenada or Sardis .
That sounds like a plan. I know it’s hard to say,but when would possibly be the best time frame to find them shallow??Id love to get on them in that standing timber in 1-2 feet of water like I’ve saw on videos.

March has always been good for thin water crappie.
Keep an eye on this thread, Sticky: Big 4 ramp launch levels
It has a link to the COE water levels and ramp levels.
Cossar cabins:
Most have 2 queen beds in 1 room. #14 has 1 queen in 1 room with bathroom and 2 queens in 1 room with bathroom. # 15 and 16 are set up for groups.
It's been a long while since we used a cabin and things might have changed.

Keep us informed, I or we will try to fish with you a day or 2.
First I would like to thank you and like to add in that it sounds like you're sharing an experience related to a place, possibly Grenada, and the unpredictable weather conditions there. Weather can change rapidly in many regions, especially in places prone to sudden storms. Being aware of wind patterns and the potential for storms is essential for safety when you're on the water. A good bilge pump can indeed be a lifesaver in such situations.
