Jaws + Claws =
[emoji122] APPLAUSE [emoji122]!! Absolutely, breathtakingly gorgeous [emoji560] that maintained < 6" waves throughout my day. With 74° w/t, I was anticipating the beginning of the inshore migration. Armed w/5 recreational(commercial-sized) crab pots, I positioned them haphazardly throughout the 5 mile river. Seven different species fell victim to my artificial-only light tackle. My newest rod, Berkley 2-piece, 7' u/l was a blast, easily handling my fish-o-the-day...a feisty 20" (fork of tail)! Although all of my trout failed the minimum 15" size limit, my anticipation was fueled throughout the day. With ZERO commercial pots in water(post-Idalia), my crustacean hopes were Boiling high(pun intended). My take home fish included my fav = 2 puffer fish(blowfish). All [emoji886] [emoji886] were counted(36males) and included some Jumbo-mumbos![emoji39] Raynee, now 9 months old [emoji190], remained home, still having potty issues.[emoji17]

Good lookin fish Doug. I can bet that the drag was warmed up on that fish! Good bucket of crabs makes up for the lack of trout.

This is the best time of the year to eat crabs, and those look awesome. Nice mack.

When I was stationed at Eglin in the early 70's we used to troll for spanish behind a 24 ft sailboat. Used Pet21 small spoons. Lost a bunch of spoons. We actually bled them when we caught them and broiled the filets later.
