just happened to be testing braid versus mono in the river , casting forever is important down there , my testing has proven to me unequivocally that with the EXACT same float and weight jig , braid does NOT cast any farther and to make it even more of an issue the dang stuff acts like a wind sock on the surface and ruins your presentation totally if there is much more than a whisper of a breeze as it drags your float all away from the target area .Quote:
