Been some awful nice weather for y’all not to be posting about the coolers of fish y’all have caught.
I can’t wait to hear the excuses. Best excuse gets a hot tip.

Hey Wannabe..., I posted, its on the Main Page. Pearl river is the State Line down here so it counts.
I caught a wannabe be limit. So I called it a day after that lol. Uno
You haven't been posting either wannabee cept that one fish pic that has been on here since 2010
My excuse is I've been caring for my wife and building a trailer.
Years ago I bought a MC gas welding rig at a pawn shop for $125. Saturday the oxygen regulator blew. I went to 4 supply houses yesterday to get a new one. Dang, $120.
Only water I have been around is the fountain in front of the factory. Biggest thing is there is tadpoles
Yep I been slacking. Last pic I put up, was last trip. I’m mad about my crankbait bite seems to be off.
Haven’t broke the spider rig stuff out in 5-6 years now. So re-learn that OR
try to learn the forward sonar. Getting too old for this learning junk

The dog ate my homework. It was snowing outside. I had three flat tires. Boss caught me sneaking out. Bass Pro was having a sale that day. Had to change my blinker fluid and muffler bearings. Just washed the boat and didn’t wanna get it dirty. Everytime I post a fishin report, Wannabe follows me around for a month. Every time I buy Wannabe’s lunch, I have to claim him as a dependent. Gas is too high.
Water is too low. Interest is up and the stock markets down.

I half expected y’all all to say you been, just not posting.
With that said, Snubby wins. If it wasn’t true, it would sound made up.
The hot tip is, y’all should try red grass tackle jig bodies. I tried the skinny shad and didn’t have much luck. Think with the fish being finicky, the long profile promoted the nipping type bites. Swapped to the 2” BA split tail and bingo. But keep that to yourself, Snubby.
Had 17 Saturday including a 15” 2.00 and used 2 bodies. Well, actually one and a half. Had one in to start that had 7 keepers and about as many shorts to start the day with. They are super tough

All I’m catching are whisker feeshes….:banghead:banghead
Looking at the weather, I’m contemplating one more crankbait run this weekend. Almost thinking I’d rather catch a few doing what I know rather than flailing about. Still too hot to wanna sit on that front deck and stare at a screen. Going to have to be Saturday though. Snowed under at work, and I’m too much a ho to pass up time and a half ;)

I played the role of fisherman this weekend. Busted em up including a 2.40. I’ve even started tagging fish. Tags have my name and number on it and on the other side: if you catch this fish, you owe me lunch.
Most all of this story is true. I’ll leave it to you to decide which part isn’t.

Good report and awesome catch.
Of the 5 guys I fished with when I joined C.C . Three are deceased , one in nursing home and one no longer fishes . Fishing solo not much fun .
The finality of leaving this life is the empty vessel left with those still here. I can't possibly know what you're feeling but last fall I reconnected with a guy who I worked with for several years in my early 20's. He was always around, Bass fished, I was doing Saltwater fishing. Every once in a while we would fish together though. Well he decided to Crappie fish so I now had someone with the same respect to fish with. We made 2 trips this spring, smoked the crappie both trips, and the NIP tide was coming around again so I was thinking of calling him while working in my shop when the phone rang. I grabbed the phone up and said; "Hey Bud, I was just thinking to call you, the NIP tide is on top of us." His wife was on the other end, didn't even get a word in waiting for me to finish my greeting. Of course He passed away from a heart attack while mowing his grass. Its been 6 months or so now, I was used to seeing him infrequently, but knowing he was around and the finality of knowing we will never fish together again keeps returning to my thoughts.
A day missed fishing we can never get back, I still go, by myself as always, but enjoyed the trip Bon Temps and I made last Monday very much. I personally like the solitude of single pole fishing for crappie unlike Saltwater fishing where 4 guys are on the boat. Now I find I like company crappie fishing too, maybe not every trip but it was just Fun. Life is always teaching some kind of lesson it seems.
Well said John….I am only 57 and can’t believe the number of folks I knew in my youth who are now deceased.
Y’all are really harshing my vibe. :). Good thing I never liked nobody anyhow.
Got all cocky and went this am before work counting on another quick 28 and got popped in the mouth. Managed only 5 with. BF of 1.80

Since I fish no further north than Ross Barnett is a BF 1.80 on Grenada lake small? We catch that big in Lock 1.
No 1.80 is maybe a little higher than average. I’d say anything around 2.50 is a “big fish” for me. Realistically a 3.00 is a head turner and north of 3.50 is a show stopper. Biggest fish I’ve seen in person is 4.1 but I saw a video of a 4.34 that was released.
