Shellcrackers
Took the kiddo (3 years old) fishing and got into some redear aka shellcrackers in a local pond. Biggest one was probably 12 in. Put up a good fight on the UL rod. Caught them using worms on a cricket hook with split shot. Haven’t caught a redear this big before. I had to be careful not to break the 4lb test when they were pulling drag! Picture doesn’t do them justice, but I think biggest one was probably close to 2 lbs. maybe 1.5 or 1.75 Attachment 470503

Great pictures and I'm glad you were able to catch some good ones !

Super looking crackers. Like already said, that smiling face speaks volumes. Instantly took me back to fishing with my two girls at that age, and they’re 38 and 40 now. Take her all you can, these days will be gone in a blink. Well Done Daddy!!
