Darryl you and Jerry have put so much time and effort into hosting these things I think whatever we do should be low key this time around. I would like to see you guys just set a date and have a come if you can approach and not worry about seminars, scheduling meals and camping areas. I also think having it for a weekend instead of a whole week would be nice. If you wanted to go ahead and reschedule the dancing girls from East St Louis I would chip in, but I just dont think thats a must.
I agree with gooch. You guys really put your best foot forward on these. I missed the one last fall but if someone "wants" to show off their jigs and sell a couple, then that is fine with me too. As long as we can catch enough for supper, then that is good enough for me. (I'll catch gooch's share of fish if needed.. :D )
i think your get together's is mighty fine Clark! :D The only thing I would suggest is giving me a date so I can start planning on going....Being I've never been to one....
Darryl,
I am waiting on dates to reserve to be able to come to it this year. I am ready for the fall. I am game for whatever you guys come up with, big or small.
A long weekend is about all I can probably squeeze in. I agree you two out did your self for the spring camp. The weather was awlful and I was able to attend just a Saturday afternoon with my father and son. But, you two sure made a positive impression on my father in that afternoon as well as everyone that was there.
Lets just set a date and do it. If the vendors and craftsmen want to come I will give them some time before we fry fish and hushpuppies.

I'm on the east edge of Hot Springs..... been out/away from here a while (OK, 20+ years....more than a while)... and need to learn about Crappie nearby.
What're these "camps" about? multi-day fishing events... meet-n-gabs?
I'm not able to get out and away a whole lot, but am curious.

That weekend sounds great to me. Its one of my long weekends. I can make it no problem.
Making the plans "nice n easy" sounds like a great start. Complexity usually creeps in at the end anyway, especially if Gooch is in on it. I do look forward to sitting around that fire on a nice fall evening already!
I had a NIGHTMARE last night about Crappie Camp and Gooch...
after seeing those crappie.com THONGS available for order from cafepress on the main forum
Please, no Mr Crappie of Arkansas contest at Fall Crappie Camp
OK, got it. I'll cipher on it, and keep this thread watched.Quote:

DP,
Did I see you on TV last night in an interview regarding the barge traffic on the AR river? If it wasn't, it sure did look like ye.
Randy it was him. Funny thing was I saw him on crimestoppers on channel 7 then you see him on 11 the same night.

Yup that was me. I tried to tell the reporters I was more concerned about not getting the toon out on the river than I was missing oportunities to work. As my luck would have it, the liner service was able to continue service to Little Rock; that is as far as they went. It put enough on us that I cut my vacation short about a month ago.Quote:
