I知 attempting to order another Abu Garcia Mass Beat 3 travel rod from Amazon Japan .
Last time , right after it shipped, they cancelled my order and made me wait over three weeks for my refund.
I like the rod a lot , especially for the price . Around $70 with tax shipped.
We値l see what happens.
I値l let you know if I get it this time . Estimated delivery is August 31st .

Gill, i love the Mass Beat Gen 1 skeleton handle so much didn't have the heart to throw it out. Using a section of strong bamboo chopstick as insert I now have a 4'3" XXUL when attaching to MB3 top. The eyelets them selves weren't that expensive. If you can wait a bit once I get the eyelets I can mail you one.

CPW it's up to you what you want to do, send to skeetbum or wait till I get the tips I ordered and the rod. I should be able to fix you up with a tip when I get them. I ordered tips with ring sizes 4.5, 5, 5.5, 6, and 7 mm OD of the eyelet. they are all for tip size of 4/64 of an inch. The size 4 was the smallest size I could find on Mud Hole, when I did the math from the calipers in thousands of an inch to 64ths I came up with 3.5 but couldn't find that size. I'm guessing the glue will take up the extra room as I've never replaced a tip before.
Skeet does the above seem feasible for putting a tip on a TCB. I ordered the differnt sizes to be able to see them, from the factory the Tip eyelet is lager than the guide that is second from the top, not sure why but that's the way it came.
Update:
According to the tracking, the rod has made it to California. Needs to clear customs and it usually takes about three days afterwards.

Well , look what I found on my front porch steps when I got home from fishing this morning.
It made it !
I don稚 know what happened last time , but it was due to arrive this Thursday, but showed up four days early .
I don稚 know when it値l get its proper sliming, but it値l be going my next trip out .
Schedule is full tomorrow and part of Tuesday. Maybe able to sneak off some Tuesday morning before my wife痴 appointment .
But we致e got folks started to do some repairs on the house starting tomorrow, weather permitting. Not sure how long it値l take .
I知 just stoked I was able to get another one .
That's good news, my tracking says this Friday, sure would be nice to have it a couple days early.

One of the big adjustments we致e had to make in moving to a small town in Arkansas is Amazon deliveries. All of it comes by USPS or UPS. Have never seen an Amazon van anywhere around. Two day orders are rare and most of it takes 4 days to arrive. Back in TN much of the stuff we ordered came same day. And for sure we would always get items next day. Of course that wasn稚 the case for items ordered out of Japan. Amazon had about 7 distribution centers in close proximity. Two were actually in the town I lived in. Those buildings were slightly over a mile long. I like to get what I order quick but it has been well worth the move to get away from all those people. Kinda funny I get reels from Digitaka in about 36 hours after shipping email and yet just a regular order from Amazon takes four days. LOLQuote:

Today is the day. Amazon shows the rod out for delivery.
Yesterday was another fake out. Post office informed delivery showed another Amazon package being delivered. I worked late so it was rained pretty hard till I got home. Got wet enough that I need to change pants after walking to the mail box. Package was for my daughter again.
At least the weather this afternoon will be dry enough I'll be able to walk across the yard to the pond to try the rod out on some sunfish in the pond.
