I have a Pfleuger Trion that I need to replace. What are some good recommendations for a jig casting reel? I use 1/32oz jigs quite a bit and would like to keep it in the $50-80 range if possible (or lower if there’s a good one)

Very happy with my President series as well.
Agreed. President reels agre great. I also like the BnM Pro 50 and 100s
Another President fan here. But I also recently got a KastKing Zephyr 1000 SFS that I am very happy. It is very light, very smooth and has a shallow spool. I believe MSRP is $69.
Been using a strange named reel lately and so far it’s been killer for under 20 bucks off amazon
Might troll amazon and look around and check reviews and ratings, just saying
I've become a fan of the Daiwa Regal.
The Presidents are my favorite in your price range. I also use the Lew's laser lites 75 and 100 size. They are about 40 bucks and cast light tackle well.
Count me in as a fan of the President reels, I have a couple of them. I kicked one in the lake one day from my boat and went back a few days later, the first chance I could go, and snagged that sucker from the bank with the first cast with a grapple hook. I was fishing near the bank that day and knew about where I lost it. Had it cleaned and it was good as new, been perfect ever since.
I have a few but after the Trion crapped out, I’m just hesitant to get another Pfleuger. It wasn’t even used much at all
Another vote for the daiwa regal.
I'm neutral on the Pfleuger President. Good drag but there are spaces on the spool and handle where my line gets trapped. Think I will try the Daiwa Fuego next.
Piscifun Carbon X has treated me real well. Like it more than my presidentials and is cheaper.

I've not had good luck with the Pflueger Presidents. The Anti Reverse gear on the newer ones is plastic and very fragile.
In the $50 range I would go with a Daiwa Revros. Around $80 i would step up to the Daiwa Legalis.
I just picked up 2 Diawa regals myself. Very nice for the money. I'm probably going to grab another one shortly. Just my 2c

Piscifun? I had horrendous Customer Service from them. Based in Hong Kong.
Never had to deal with their customer service. $50 reel. Something goes wrong, I’ll just get another reel. Not worth my time dealing with customer service over that. Have had two going on two years now with no issues.

I would vote for the President as well, but my favorite vote goes to the Legalis.

Ive never had to use their CS either. In fact ive never used CS for a reel ever in my life, i repair them if they break or just replace them. Buy from Amazon so you can get a replacement if it comes broken somehow.. but piscifun are good reels, especially the carbonx. They sponsor bass and walleye pros now, and i have not heard much bad about their reels at all. I personally really like mine.
As for made in America, not many options there. Even the couple that do claim it, all the parts are from china, korea, or japan

May get crucified for saying but I have switched almost all mine to the piscifun flame. 20-30 bucks they make all sizes so pick your poison. With two boys fishing with me most time it’s tough buying the premium reels knowing their lifespan is limited

I went even cheaper with the piscifun flames. No problems yet. Been used from casting to long lining to power trolling, and live scoping. Good drag and smooth reels for the money

The good thing about them is at their price point you can chunk them when they wear out. Buy from Amazon so if they come not working right just send them back

I’ll check that out They don’t last long around the whirlwinds that fish with me
