I went bass fishing last night & will again tomorrow night. Does that count? :biggrin
I "was" going Bass fishing last night, but bailed on account of the forecasted storms. Having been caught out on Herrington several times in my life, when a frog choker sneaks up on me, I'm a little more inclined these days to say .... "nah, I'll wait for a better opportunity". I also bailed on a Green night trip w/Rodney tonight, for the same reason.
Went today to a smallish local lake 6:30-2:00. 1 jet ski and 1 ski boat each made a couple of laps so it was a suprisingly pleasant day.
Trout fished the past two days. Nobody on the river due to heat. I only fished 2 hours each day due to the heat, caught a lot of fish. My nephew is staying another 2 days. But I know for Sunday one Trout Dock near where we fished had 32 guide trips going out. Now multiply that by number of trout docks on the White, and there are a bunch, and I’d say one would have a crowd…so even though I’m staying couple more days my fishing is done.

It’s unbelievably hot here, feels like 106 today and through tomorrow. So I was already going to pass. Figured I didn’t want to deal with all the boats and dumb choices. I’m going to try Monday and Tuesday.

I enjoy some night fishing
I’m actually avoiding boat traffic this 4th. The White River is dangerously low for boats at times behind my uncle’s house to trout fish, and I’ve decided to take the kids to the hatchery instead.
