Nice string of fish. Thanks for the ride along and info.

So if you dropped the shiners could you find them on the boat? You made them match the boat. :Rofl
Green is my favorite color. Love it! Good job
Put one crappie in there and let it get good and green. Go release it and see if you can catch it in a few days......:dono
You are clever my friend, clever with a sense of humor, priceless......................
I designed a new Reverse Arch last night for the boat to hold a Bimini Top and some rod holders for Long-line trolling. The Arch will be painted Black 2K Urethane and I'm praying Sunbrella has a Lime Green fabric.
The dye was a bit pricey for 4 bottles, I don't know why not a Crappie would take the color. It does really stress the shiners so I had to pull every dirty trick on them I had to keep them frisky throughout the dying process. Dying, as in belly up bait had to be avoided.
Cool article and good information. I have a buddy of mine who travel's to lake fork in TX every year. One year he swore by dyed minnows. He said dyed would out catch non 3 to 1. He was using different dye, the actually could hook a minnow and dip it and it would take the color on. I will try to find out the brand. Keep up the experimenting and share with us!

I love Keith Lusher's "Green Shiner's" article. We got a tone of other great stuff as well. Capt. Scott Lillie is telling the world, via Terry Madewell, how he uses Walleye Nation Creations Boogie Shad 5 to boat summertime slabs. Plus, we've got more great stuff from Keith Sutton, Tim Huffman, Fishing with Darl Black, Brad Wiegmann, Lindsey Lucas - The Reel Deal, Dan Dannenmueller and Larry Whiteley. It's all FREE and waiting at CrappieNOW Magazine | Leading Crappie Fishing Magazine.
