Fishing club

I believe that we should start our own fishing club, we would not have to go to any meetings because we have this site. We can fish for bass, crappie, bluegill, trout, perch or what ever. The tournaments can be small, fun and cheap. I think this is something that we could do. What are your opinions?

I have actually been looking for a fishing club to join myself but have been unable to so i think it sounds like a great idea

Drop the trout (you can keep salmon instead ) And I think it would be great.

sounds good, does any one else on the washington forum think this to be a good idea and would like to join? There are three of us wanting to do it.

I'll have a boat by May so between myself and Kokanee we should be able to take a few trips out together.

Beer sounds good but so far we are all under age. But I wont stop you.wink wink. Well I leave in about late june and do not come back till mid august so any time before then and after then sounds great. So lets find a location.

We started an impromtu club kinda by accident on the nc/sc boards.Everyone seemed to be doing the same kind of fishing (night time crappie) and we started meeting up to fish together and before long it was a full fledged intity called the night stalkers.We hold social events on the lake to cook fish and socialize then fish for the night with a big fish pot.

To bad theres not more crappie fisherman on this site in Washington.

I know that would be great. We are just going to have to reacroot some more peope.

Too many steelhead fisherman...

well all i can say is that i have caught as many crappie as i have steelhead and let let you guess what number that is

but i have probably caught about 600 bass

Ive caught 2 steelhead.....And like 40 trout in my entire life time as far as those silver fish that are slimy and smelly oh yeah and like a hundred pink salmon .Now bass ive caught like 1000s of big, small, and in between.. all 3 species too. Crappie ive caught about 400 of those.in my entire life time.

So how are we goinig to organize this club, tournaments and such?

For tournaments you have to get the states permission.As far as a club goes i dont know..

I read some where that to need to do that the tournament winnings has to be higher the a certain amount and it is pretty high. but how are we goiing to decide the water to fish on? And lets hurry up and do it. I am thinking of a panfish one.

Draw names from a hat.

What names are we going to put in the hat? Should we all pick one lake?

What the state dont know wont hurt 'em.We just have big fish pools for the get togethers.As long as you have a good scale and a balance board for close calls , you should be set.Start small....It will grow when people see you having fun....E.

I read that you only need to get the state's permit for the tournament if there is going to be more than six people competing in it

Yeah Big E's idea is good.Its only illegal if ya get caught :) I dont think the stae would really care any how.

We should all pick a lake that everyone has been to so no one has the upper hand.

Ok on the idea about lakes sammamish is the only one ive evere caught a crappie out of.

I was just going to ask what happend to you Chris. Duck lake is on, caught some good fish ther about two weeks ago. if you need some more info just ask.
