Anyone out there using a spare tire mount with a step mounted on it to get into your boat while launching, and trailering your boat, if so please take a picture and post it. I need something, like to busted my booty the other day.

I bought these for the same reasons that you are looking. It's probably the single best boat investment I've made. There are several brands and styles out there for all types of boats. These are the easy step system. I can't claim they are the best, but I like them. They are pricey. Now that I have them, I won't ever be without some type of steps on my boat.Attachment 458700

Danny look up
Omega boat step d I y step kit on eBay. Last time I looked they had a kit for $149.00 that would make a great set of steps. Just have to weld, prime & paint, & install them.
I have a Trick Step on my trailer. They're pricy but well worth it. I'm 63 with 2 total knee replacements. Couldn't imagine trying to get in and out without it.

Go to a good muffler shop you know and have them weld up some using exhaust pipe,,,,I saw a guy on utube did some that way,,,
Nice setups, look very well worth it!

Best have them welded to the trailer frame !! Otherwise ... someday you may come back to "no steps"
Attachment 458761Danny, these were made using one spare tire carrier for the riser step. I added a 1" GRC pipe for the grab pole. Less than a hundred bucks for complete setup. It will still allow for tongue fold back.
Yes they are very safe. I weight around 210 and jumped up and down on them and cant move them. The safety aspect in my opinion is the grab pole, as I use it going on and grab hold of it getting off.
Can you show me a close up of how the pole is put on at the trailer
I really need to do something like this!

Sorry Danny for late response, sorry you got to at pic sideways ???. Don't get to check very often. I drilled the top and bottom of the back plate of the tire carrier and used 1/2" bolts, keep in mind the pole is galvanized rigid conduit.
