It works. It works. I now have leg room. Yay me.

I just have to find a better piece of wood. The plywood is just a template.

That works
Pretty cool. Looking forward to seeing finished product
Teak!
Here's the before. Posting it just to have it here for reference. Attachment 455089
It may look good , but all the black part is being removed giving me a bunch more space. I barely fit. And I won't be installing a speedometer or rpm gauge. Got speedometer on my phone, and those boat mounted mechanical ones never work anyway.

Patiently awaiting further progress. Interesting.

Tons more leg room, and that's what was important to me. I was gonna use a nice piece of wood to fill in the dash hole, but instead I used epoxy on plywood. I could get it to fit nice at the edges more easily, and I had the epoxy, so there you go. I re-used the fuel guage and the voltage meter, they were the only guages that still worked. I added tiny switches for lights, horn, and live well. Can't even see them. Still a work in progress, but the part I wanted, the room gain, is done and it works! yay
Cool. Nice job. Can even see the leg….lol.
Comfort certainly counts in a boat
Nice! The project is coming together!
Bob
There are boats with working fuel gauges??
Says video is private
Still scruffy but I see the extra room. Good job. My Bumble Bee barely had room for me.
Looks good. Nice website sponsor stickers. You need a place to take a nap out there floating, looks so peaceful.
Looking good. If it works for you it works. Good job.
