I have some Windex with vinegar and I also use the product from Mad Fishing to clean my Livescopes and graphs. Now, it might be coming off the soft cloth that I use, but I still have a film on them that does cause the glare to be worse. What have you found that works well?
I keep a can of Armor all glass cleaning wipes in the boat for wiping off my electronics

water and vinegar is hard to beat. I just cleaned my graphs today with Wave Away.

I use a bottle of eye glass cleaner and a cotton rag.
I’ve done the vinegar spritz trick on a paper laying on screen to get hard water spots on several units. Some were pretty spotty and cleaning them with windex and such would leave the spots.
Basically patted some dawn dish soap with finger (dont not wipe or it could scratch) around covering the screen. Take a paper towel or two big enough to double and cover screen. Soak paper towel with half distilled water and distilled white vinegar. Not enough so it stands but enough that towel is well soaked. Let it soak a few minutes. Then lift not wipe the paper towel off. Then I spritz a little on a clean paper towel and gently wipe screen down. This can also work on the rest of unit to clean the spots off it. I had a older 597 HB that was so bad you hardly see the images. Looked brand new.

I use Zeiss lens cleaner that’s sold at Sams or Walmart. An 8 ounce bottle last a long time.
Lowrance does not recommend using vinegar and water on their screens due to the coating they use.
they do suggest you use 50/50 mix of alcohol and water.

I would use what the manufacturer suggests.Most units have a anti reflective coating on them just like most people put on their eye glasses.I clean mine with the same thing that I use to clean my glasses with because my glasses have a AR coating on them and always a clean micro fiber cloth. You don’t want to use anything that might damage that coating.

Great suggestions! I missed that about the Anti-Reflective coating in the manual. I hope I haven't messed that up. But, I've never used anything real harsh.
