All I can tell you is what I see on the COE Green River Facebook page from this morning :
"Lake Level Update: as of 6:00 am lake level is 673.72 msl with a setting of 3 tenths on the main service gates for an outflow of around 1,302cfs (cubic feet of water per second). Surface Temperature: 55° F " (note: this temp reading is taken at the dam)
Versus what I had been seeing, which was a lake level rise from 670 to 673 with an outflow of only around 50cfs over the past 3-4days ... which tells me the Green River (below the dam) has receded enough for them to crank up the outflow and start pulling the lake back down.
Maybe t.slabseeker will chime in with more details. :dono
Water is clearing up the creeks. Holmes bend area is fairly murky. But the fish are moving up getting ready to go shallow.

IF the weather does what they're calling for, it looks like it'll be back to square one on the water. Heavy rain, thunder storms and high wind possible all day Friday :dono:yikes
Sunday, the water was muddy above holmes bend and stained pretty heavy the other way but the fish was biting.
Few males trying to get shallow yesterday. We kept 40 good ones yesterday all 11+ caught them anywhere from 8-20 ft of water.
Thursday of this week they were in 3 feet of water. Lot of little fish, but some nice ones as well. Department of Fish and Wildlife needs to take note of the number of undersized crappie. It seems it is getting worse each year. Not sure what they can do. Maybe trap and ship to Kentucky Lake?
Fished green the last two days. Homes bend yesterday and smiths ridge area today. Left scratching my head both days. Today was my first time spider rigging smith ridge area and it seems great for that type of fishing but didn’t get the results I was hoping for.

Fished 3 days this pass week, pushed jigs 1 day and 2 days single poled. I had not fished green the last 3 or 4 years like I used to so I am not sure but the fish seems to be a lot different now than 5 years ago. I had to do a lot of hunting every day I fished. I fished in 40 fow of water to 1.4 fow fishing for site 1 to above the bridge. Day 1 we had 30 keepers with a few decent keepers single poling. Mostly in 15 to 20 fow and when we got shallower only caught dink males and caught most of them on the 2.5" mud bugz. Day 2 pushing we had 36 keepers with just keeper size fish. All of the keeper fish came from 15 to 1.4 fow and only caught dink in deeper water and on drops. Caught all the fish on Devil Minners or Hot rods Day 3 we had 62 keepers with a few decent fish. Had around 10 keepers in 25 to 40 fow, about 20 in 6 to 10 fow and the rest in 15 to 20 foot tight in cover. Caught all the fish on either Devil Minner, Mini Rods and 1.75" mud bugz First 2 days I had my dad with me and he even made a comment the fishing wasn't like it used to be.
The lake fished well Saturday. Waded through a ton of shorts to round out a limit. There appeared to be a bass tournament launching out of Site 1, a high school bass tournament, and a KY Kayak bass tournament on the water the same day. Social media posts of heavy bass weights resulted in significant fishing boat traffic.
We got harassed multiple times by a high school tournament boat with an adult at the console and three teens wearing jerseys. The adult was directing the kid on the trolling motor to keep cutting us off from the trolling path we’d been making all morning, matching our speed and repeatedly intentionally crossing in front of us. It was infuriating to see an adult teach out next generation unsportsmanlike conduct on the water.
The water color looks good and they’ve stopped pulling the bottom out of the lake. The fish are both shallow and still a lot of fish staging deep waiting to move up. We pulled jigs from 4-40 FOW and caught fish. The lake should fish well this weekend for the 2023 Spring Fling.
