Depends what type boat your in and which part of lake your wanting to fish as I can get under some bridges so I have to hit ramp for which part of lake I want to fish.

The public ramp across the street from Tamarac marina is pretty good. The bridge there is usually good as long as your Bimini is lowered.

As much money as we pay for licenses and as much boat traffic that uses that ramp. I don't see why they have not made some upgrades to the Southmont ramp. You cannot tie your boat to the pier for all the nails sticking out. Pot holes on the ramps.. .NCWildlife needs to check on this ramp.
I spoke with a man today at the Buddle Creek ramp. He was beside the dock on a platform with a small crane out working in the water. He said they were putting in a second ramp. The dock will be between the two ramps is what it looked like to me. If they do they’ll need a bigger parking lot. It was packed when I left at 1pm.
