Trimming back the neighbor's brush

Neighbor's back yard is growing into mine , so we trim it down when it gets just about right for ...... a sunken treasure ....:Rofl

one bottle in the top and one broken cinderblock on bottom ....
will stand up like a tree is it's american native name ....just saying :crazy:
by the time we circled around to see if my placement was correct on the side of the little hump before the drop, there were fish already liking it as much as me and my doggies did , go figure .....:Rofl

this one is a different kind and was sunk 2 years ago in 12 fow , the lake is 3 foot low now ,but to be sure it is on a windblown flat and it is some kind of WOW to hit in the late spring until the fall ....not kidding , set 3 of them in a line , half a 5 gallon bucket and concrete with large boo stalks ....:highfive

You have built many a fine condo! I love it on my small creek when trees drop in due to washout. Those places will be absolutely loaded until spring floods eventually wash them away. Bank logs can produce for years.

Sounds like we fish similar waters. The current is constantly changing the creeks I frequent.

We have a few city lakes in DFW that void of any structure. These are my favorites because they will pile on a brush pile in a hurry. The only issue is setting up your brush pile without anyone seeing you. I went with a very oldtimer who had me meet him at 2am in the morning to drop some piles. We never caught a limit but it was always good for 5-7 fish apiece.

Lake worth is like that , everyone scared you can’t eat the fish and 100 Years old and all silted in , you sink a nice pile in there and its typically a great spot to drop a jig , lately the fisheries folks been dropping monster condos in there , Ez found them with some information I got on placement, never held any big fish on my visits , but might now

I had to take a double take when I first read the title thought it said bush, the wife would of gotten very upset. :hatchet: :Rofl

Should catch some nice ones around that for sure.

In my sperience the bamboo lasts a couple of years. Might be time to drop a couple nearby for when those are done. I won my first tourney in my bass boat on some boo buckets I stumbled onto. Won by over three pounds. Yeah, it works.

Yep same thing with Mountain Creek. They say the fish are not safe to eat and you seldom see boats on the lake. I use to catch alot of crappie in the creek that now runs between Mountain Creek lake and Joe Pool. Other than the creek the lake was void of any structure. I got some intel from the Dallas Baptist University bass fishing team. They know the lake well since the ramp is 200 yards from the college entrance.

Used to long pole in waders in the willows on mountain creek every spring, back about 45 years ago big time , hammered some whale crappie with 18 inches of 20 lb mono and a big ole 1/8 jig on the end of telescopic 10 footer , man is that fun, on a side note, my older daughter finished college with her masters degree at DBU :highfive
