Lake Jordan Mar 11

Report: crappie around structures nothing found in open. Water 63.63F had to keep in front of face for couple minutes to bite. All fishermen said bite was slow. Fished 9:30am-4:30pm 0930-1630
Buddy came to visit, slow trolled jigs and not a bite. Had minnows on board so decided to slip bobber the minnows on the bridges after wasted most of day. Great time on water

In the 70's a tornado hit the south side of the slough you were in.A guy fishing under that bridge had his boat blown out from under him leaving him hanging from the steel beams under it.I.saw the black cloud associated with it on my way home from work to the north.Local trivia.Nice fish! Hopefully going longlining thurs.Will report.Tight.lines.

There’s nearly always lots of crappie under that bridge. Sometimes getting them to bite is tough. Lund I may have met you on the road a while back. Black truck pulling a Lund boat on 23? Not many Lund boats around.

maybe I said that wrong. I passed you in the road around where the tornado crossed 23. We have not ever met.

Next time you fish that bridge try the old bridge pillings. Old bridge runs parallel to the standing bridge 100' to the west or inside of Blackwells. 100's of old pillings running bank to bank in 15' of water to 40' deep. The tallest are 12' tall over the creek cannel running to 5' tall on the ends. This is the original bridge that was there before the dam was built, not the bridge taken down in the 80's. Big females on it now in 20' of water and they dont get the pressure the big bridge gets

I have seen numerous people spider rigging this but I thought they were crazy. I never knew about the old bridge.
