The sun came back out today so I went back out. Didn't get any 16" fish, but ten of what I caught were 2# or over! The water is still at 46* and I had to work for every bite, but very healthy fish. Just wondering how you fish for those Pigs over there in the west.
I’m sure you are in a lot clearer water than here in Indiana.
Pitching to them? Casting? Dropping on them?
Hand tied or Plastic?
Heavy or light weight jig?

I almost always cast with 4# mono and 1/16th or 1/32nd oz jig heads direct tied to the jig. The water can get clear here, but not right now. Obviously sometimes I have to adjust tactics and some are held closely, but 98% plastic tied directly with 4# mono, I get broken off often by those green carp and sometimes crappie and big cats, but I don't enjoy being overpowering with my target fish.Quote:
