I'm in NW Ohio. Findlay to be more exact.
between Dayton and Cincinnati. Caesaer Creek is my home lake...famously known as the Dead Sea (C).
Good to see someone from my old stompin grounds here on crappie.com. I was born and raised in Findlay.Quote:

Got any secret spots you wanna tell me about now that you're not in the area? If no one is fishing them they could get overpopulated and growth will be stunted. haha :DQuote:

If I could remember that far back I'd tell you. I left there in 60 when I joined the Navy. We fished a lot of areas of the Blanchard but all I remember catching was catfish and suckers.Quote:

Bottomline if you are south of NewPhilly then do you by chance live in or near Genattenhutten? A friend of mine had family that owned the bar in Lock17 or Lot17, I can't remember. I been over that way a time or two. Tappan looks like a nice lake. I also fish the Kokosing river just east of Mt Vernon for smallies from time to time.

Yes I do Live near Gnadenhutten,And I even know the bar you are talking about and for the life of me I can't remember the name.

I live in Ky straight across the river from Eagle creek in Ripley Ohio. It is a small town about 60 miles east of cincinnati. I am on this board more than the Ky one because I fish in Ohio more. But I am familiar with creeks on both sides here in this area. Not that many lakes around these parts.
I ,live in Hillsboro ,work in cincinnati ,fish mostly Paint creek lake, would like to fish Brush Creek more, with a combination of wading and floating.
I like Brush creek also, it is long and deep. I have a buddy who fishes it often. He has caught a lot more fish out of there than I have.
Amelia ohio 10 mins from east fork lake 30 min from stonelick lake
I live near Hopedale, about 1/2 hour from you bttmline. and about 10 mi. northeast of Steubenville, the arm pit of Ohio....
Now that's what I want to see. Communication!!!!!!!!!
I live just outside Amelia, Ohio. I can walk to East Fork Lake in less than 5 minutes....but I am much too lazy to walk when I can just hitch up the boat and do it the easy way. I fish East Fork and the Little Miami River more than anywhere else, but I do venture to other places around SW Ohio when I have the time.
Hi all.
Fairfield - Five minutes from the BP store in Cincy,
but it's a pain to go anywhere from my house.
I usually fish (Acton Lake Hueston Woods)
There is good fish there, but the lake is extremly
muddy year round, with no structure in the deeper
water. The traffic from where I live is horrible, and
it would be 2.5 to 3.5 hours to hit anything good.
Ok thats enough!
Glove up!
Rick.
I live on the East side of Cincinnati. Mostly fish East Fork and Cowan, better size fish at EF, but Cowan has numbers and Saugeye.
Hey Ref. it's not that far from Fairfield to EF, Ceasars or Cowan. About an hour give or take. I know the x-ways a mess right now but that will get better. I work in Blue Ash, only about 15/20 minutes East of you.
Are any of you doing any slab hunting?
I live in the lil town of bethel, just about 30 minutes east of cincinnati. East Fork is my home lake, do most of my fishin there. But do also venture out around sw ohio for other places. Do need to do some fishin on the ohio river and find out where the crappies are in mid summer? Got any idea Kycreekboy? Well take care yall and good fishin to all.
Hi....I live 3 miles west of Grand Lake St. Marys, near Celina, OH. If you got any reports or need of any for GLSM, give me a holler!

Had lots of fun. Well just done cleaning, gone to get some needed ZZZZ,s. Was at end of Pony Island just north of Long Island.
Akron Ohio. Fish West Branch, Mosquito and Ohio River (Pike Island) for crappie.
Hey Opie,
Iused to fish Long Lake of the Portage lakes, In fact I use to buy fur at long lake bait.
I lived 30 years in Akron, Ohio. I remember fishing Long Lake, Portage, Mogadore West Branch and Wingfoot exclusively. I really enjoy reading the posts from Ohio. It gives me invaluable information for when I come up to see old friends. Usually, we still go to West Branch or Magadore.
Now I am blessed to fish Logan Martin lake or Weiss lake here in Alabama.
Hello Everyone, i just wanted to introduce myself. I try to fish EF about twice a month, and have just started to lern about crappie techniques, and I must say there's more to this fishing than I would have suspected. Thanks for all the info...
