Not me,I try to be a good husband. One single crappie for today's outing. It is a nice one though, 151/4". The water is still cold, but has gained five degrees in a full week. This fish is in the middle of nowhere 28' of water, no structure, just out in the open water in the middle of the water column. Attachment 448167

Nice. My buddy & me caught 3 open water fish yesterday. We only caught 5 with only 9 bites but all were pretty nice ones though.
Great, I saw your post, and for me just keeping track of the population of crappie in my little part of the world is enough for the time being. I could have been more successful by traveling to the other end of the lake and I may do that or just bide my time and be there when they come to structure more near shore.Quote:
