Any interest in meet up and fishing here in South East Tennessee. Either Chickamauga, Watts Bar or Nickajack?
I have been think of the same idea DSJ. Personally, I am off the water until at least the end of March I think. Recovering from surgery. Would be nice to meet fellow crappie.com folk and share tactcs and such (get knowledge from) and just fish. I am not a tournament guy so I an usually fishing solo.:fish.
No tournament. Just a friendly get together. Be around the end of March before the weather becomes less rainy
i for one would be interested. Saturdays are my best days. Work loves to interfere with life it seems.
Either work or rain seems to be keeping me off the water lately
Well I am going to make use of my restrictions and do some inventory control and some boat modificatios. Stock up on some supplies and get gear ready for when I can go out. Need to practice on casting net also.
Already washed the boat off 2 weeks ago. It should be ready to go when work a weather cooperates
Sounds good to me I’m on watts bar so not far

Been meaning to try Watts Bar. I drive across the Dam enough but I have never fished it. I need to get up there and give it a try sometime
Would love to be a part of this! Open to any of the three lakes.
More the merrier.
Now we just need someone to organize this party! :woohoo
You guys from that area need to start a spring/fall camp . It don’t have to be fancy just a day or 2-3 where yaw get together and fellowship and fish and have a meal or samiches or something. Just clean fun and fellowship and meeting up with one another so you can put a face with the name and maybe make some new friends. Most of my best friends came from meeting folks in my area from right here. Several of us now drive 2-3 hours or more at least once a year for couple days fishing/fellowship on different lakes.
Start small and let it grow. Picking a good spot to meet at may be the key DSJ. I don't know how these things work, but to me keeping it inexpense and in a good central location would be a factor to consider. I know you guys have much more experience than I do with these things. I like the Spring and Fall thing. :highfive
I figure we will try to pick a location that is agreeable to all interested.
I am only familer a little with the Chattanooga, Chickamauga area myself. I know there are several parks and rec areas around here. I have been waiting to here Drumking chime in on this. I am sure there are places familer to you DSJ also up your way:dono. Maybe some of the other folk who do this sort of thing could give some suggestions. If I talk to much just tell me to cool it.
Count me in. Since I moved to Ooltewah (Collegedale) in 2006 I have fished solo.
What Dates DSJ ? I'm off march 18th to 26th. I might make a road trip if somebody had an open seat?????
Count me in fellows, I’m local to the area being I live in ringgold just across the ga line

Looks like there is some interest DSJ :cheers2. You may have just been voted to set this up :ThumbsUp
It would seem so
I can make the 19, 25 or 26 of March work based on the dates that have been thrown out so far.
I am good for those as well. I can shift my weekends to work
I’ve never fished for anything other than trout in Tennessee but really wanting to get that way would have to get out of work myself. I will see when closer!

If I am here in TN, I will be there.
Well DSJ looks like March 25,26 are the popular dates so far. Just putting it out there. The date seems easier to pick than place and other aspects of such an undertaking. :dono
March 25th it is.
In an effort to assist DSJ in the daunting task, I have been doing a little research on facilities in the Chattanooga are. While Chester Frost is a great place it has almost constant tournaments. My most used boat launch is Holly Park in Soddy Daisy. The area has a bathroom and a good boat ramp. Some tables but not covered and no electricity. No charge to use it. Plenty of space. Free to use
For a more upscale place I personally like Booker T Washington Park. Not sure what it cost there.
Any and all suggestions would be welcomed and appreciated
I am sure there are other great places to consider.:fish:fish
Myself and my Daughter are hoping/ planning on being there.
Sounds like a plan.
Went and checked put Holly Park earlier. Nice launch facility. Plenty of parking as well
i would vote for Holly Park it is nice and people who go there are also
I have never put in at holly park but looks good to me. Soddy creek looks promising. Another thought would be Harrison Bay State Park. I’m always game for trying something new.
I am wondering how crowded Harrison will be. Anyone I know of that fishes that area does so during the week to avoid crowds on the weekends.
I would love to meet and fish with other Cdc fishermen. I learned to fish on Watts Bar lake in the early 70’s, but I fish Chickamauga mostly since I live 5 minutes from a couple of ramps. Grin. Late March or early Apryl should be good for either lake.
