No experience in lithium, yet, but Impulse Lithium just came onboard as a site sponsor not long ago, and they were offering 15% off. You might give them a look. If I remember correctly, they had a 10 year warranty.
I bought Ionics a year ago. Nothing but great things to say, they were about half the price of dakota and still have 10yr warranty. Be aware the warranties of all the companies are prorated. Also be aware Dakota batteries are not made in USA, they are made where every other battery is... China.
Main reason i chose Ionic was the bluetooth feature, would never own one without it.

Don’t forget we (Crappie.Com) have a new site sponsor. Check them out as well.

Having recently purchased two batteries from Bill at Impulse Lithium, I can personally attest to the great customer service Bill provided. He helped me select the right batteries and charger for my set up and gave me several tips on storage and using the Blue Tooth app. They are also getting great reviews over on Bass Boat Central forum.

Pay close attention to the warranty issued by the manufactures. Read the fine print.
Ionics for me, great first year, great price.
I have ionics and impulse lithium in my boat, both are great batteries.I personally think ionics are the best choice most of the time based on price, warranty, alittle better phone app and reviews.Ionic lithiums have a lot of positive reviews on bassboatcentral and have been around for a few yrs.I have a 125 ah ionic for starting/electronics and 3 12volt 50ah ionics for the trolling motor with an anderson plug and also a 36 40ah for the trolling motor with an anderson plug.I originally bought the 3 12volt 50ah because i was thinking about not pulling cranks anymore, the 50ah are great if you just livescope. When i decided i was gonna still pull cranks the foot print of the 40 ah impulse lithium was perfect fit eith the ionic 36volt charger for the room i had left in the battery compartment of my boat, had a sale on them also.Performance fishing electronics is a site sponsor and sells the ionic lithiums and custom battery trays that i make at a reasonable price.Attachment 447583Attachment 447584Attachment 447585

If you decide impulse lithium make sure and register your batteries.Attachment 447679

That was actually revised, we don't play games with warranties but like for customers who purchase from our dealers register the product so we have it on record.
We will honor a warranty claim from a customer that can provide information that they are the original purchaser. The warranty, like most manufacturers, is limited to the original purchaser and is not transferable
This makes it easy when we get a call with questions
Thanks for pointing this out and I hope this answer clarifies our position regarding warranty
Bot pair of the 12v100aH Impulse Platinums. Warranty, Discounted price, and quik responses to PM’s and emails were their selling point to Me. Last set lead acid lasted 18mo’s. Thats a losing proposition. Being a site sponsor here and on BBC helped too
Curious if any of the lithium battery's pair with with depth finders wifi/blue tooth for state of charge?
Lithium will show 13.5-13.1v until they are on the last 10% of charge. Voltage reading doesnt work. Thats part of why they work so great, consistent power draw throughout the whole discharge range.

Yep,but dont think you can run the app on a fishfinder to show state of charge. The ionic app i think will tell you how much time remaining left on the battery after younfire all your electronics up,thats pretty handy. Some guys are actually runing 16volt lithiums on there electronics, they say it makes the return alittle better.Heard you haft to be careful with the 16volt,some electronics wont handle it.Attachment 447872

Yeah i dont know of any that will link Bluetooth to a fishfinder. That probably wont happen until a fishfinder company buys a battery company.
Most Bluetooth batteries wont even work on other batteries apps, even though they recognize the battery.
I think the voltage increase making better returns was a myth that was debunked, but I do not know that for sure. The 16v batteries offer better runtime beds the electronics pull less amps as voltage increases. So a 20Ah 16v will run quite a bit longer than a 20Ah 12v (13.5v). But the 16v also cost much more than the 13.5v.
Garmins are okay up to 20V for head units. But some guys run them on tool batteries up to 21v and do fine. I ran mine off a 16.4v jump pack for a while while ice fishing and it liked it.

We do sell the 16v Lithium Batteries but there are no image or return gains
Garmin and Humminbird engineers both confirmed to me that the chart plotters and transducers are internally regulated and there are no gains by using higher voltage.
Garmin did state that they are having a lot of units returned by guys running drill batteries and recommended consumers stay away from that power supply
Yep,agree 100%,but some will argue all day long about return gains.Did see a video online somewhere were they had a garmin livescope on 12volts then changed it to the 16volt.All i saw was it was a hair bit brighter, nothing special. Can achieve the same with a couple bumps on the gain.

Agreed, and most of the images Ive seen you can't see any of the settings, Again, we sell them but the testing I've done with confirmation from both Humminbird and Garmin confirm there are no image gains.
This is a good thread to read if anyone is interested 16v battery
