Oh yeah like the flavor of something cooked in a good old, seasoned cast iron skillet. :biggrin
Nice collection

I have a long handled no name skillet like the one you have on the front of the table. Definitely my favorite
I was raised on electric appliances and mom didn’t use cast iron. I used it some when I lived with gas appliances but I’m a rookie at best. O e thing I came away with was the ability to turn out a mean pot roast in the ones I had. Completely different way of doing things.
It is some versatile cookware for certain.
I see a lot of skillets & pots, and even a muffin pan in ya'lls pics ... but, I'm not seeing the cast iron "corn dodger - cornbread stick" mold pan. The one I have "may" be even older than the 10" skillet I use. I don't know for sure, but I believe it to have been handed down from my Great Grandmother to my Grandmother, and then to me. Can't see any brand name on any of the cast iron cookware I have had handed down to me. And the set I bought nearly 50yrs ago only has "Taiwan" on them.
I do know that Flea Markets & Antique Shops in the area are selling them and the pots & skillets at some pretty steep prices.
Some of that cast iron does bring some high prices. They also have a few new brands that command so high prices as well
CrappiePappy, I don't care for the "corn dodger - cornbread stick" mold pan. But I do have some. Attachment 445805 Attachment 445812
