What do you think of my tubes

What do you think of my tubes These are 3 inch actually 3 1/4 inch made on spike nails.

Nice jib Bob. I've hand dipped several tubes & like them. I have the angling ai 4" double dipper mold that makes a great tube too. You might say i'm kind of a tube fanatic. :biggrin

Do you guys think a 3 inch is too big for crappie.

I don't think 3" is to big, however it wouldn't be my first size choice.

I think it would be a perfect size for a smallmouth bass

I've caught crappie on 3 and 4 inch baits. My favorite is a tiny fluke.

My personal preference is a 1.5" or 2.0" because I am doing "Catch -n- grease" not "Catch -n- release." I catch my dinner using those sizes.

When I release my fish it is in to Lake Crisco.

Yep i use 3 & 4 inchers. When they're on a tube bite on our local lake you can catch lots of 4lb. plus on them. I like throwing them in the thickest junk in pockets & in lay downs in spring when they're moving up to spawn. I like fishing them on moonlight nights in summer too because the big girls will smoke them.

I’ll have to give that a try when the big girls come in here pretty quick in the next two months I enjoy making the tubes it’s not really hard to do.

Yes they are easy to make & even more fun to catch big fish on Bob. :ThumbsUp
