Trying to get 5 hogs for hamburger and jar meat... It was way to wet here in archery season for me to bow hunt my hog spots.. Muzzle loader season opened this morning.. I slept in since I did some work yesterday and was tired and sore. Parked and began walking to stand..walked about 50 yards and realized I was wearing tennis shoes, back to truck for rubber boots.. Got 15 yards from stand and saw a doe looking at me.. She walked off after I took some pics. I hunted here yesterday morning during last day of archery and saw only deer.. This is my hog stand, I guess I will have to put up a sign saying "Hogs Only, No Deer Allowed" ...there was a black and white boar that came in at dark last night, he might be Barred?? Could not see any nuts in the pics.. I hope he comes in this afternoon. The Doe was looking at me like she wanted to kiss me... The rut is still on but pretty much over here.. Attachment 439723
Seems the way hunting goes. Only see does until it is doe days then nothing. Certainly is enjoyable to sit and comune with nature. Lot worse ways to spend the day

I’m in my tree stand (pallet nailed to a double tree with a ladder going up) and I see a hunter wearing blaze orange walk into view way out in front of me………takes his orange & jacket off, then I realize he’s about to take a poo poo. He did. Took him 10 minutes to get r done and walk back where he came from. Still don’t know, to this day, who he was.
Nowadays, someone woulda got their phone out and videoed it! Makes me kinda paranoid…..never know who’s watching ya.
